The Gunnison is our fast action rod offering. We designed this rod to be stiffer than The Fryingpan, but not so stiff that it becomes burdensome. This rod is great for throwing nymph rigs under an indicator, dry dropper set-ups, or streamers.

If you've never cast a faster action rod, they can be a little less forgiving than a rod with moderate action. However, with a little practice, they generally allow for longer casts, and often cast more easily in windy conditions.

While this rod is on the stiffer side of the spectrum, it still offers enough flex to protect you from breaking off that trophy fish. People with a quicker casting tempo or who just prefer a fly rod with more stiffness will generally love the feel of this model.
